BASIM A. ZIARA
Basim Ziara was born in Baghdad, Iraq and grew up in a devout Muslim family. His family was dedicated to the Muslim religion so much so that many family members made a pilgrimage to Mecca for the Hajj. However, his life experienced a dramatic change in 1981 when he met Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his personal Savior. As a businessman in Oil & Gas, Basim shared the love of Jesus and his passion for the Lord influenced many around him.
For the last decade, Basim has dedicated his life to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. He has ministered in various countries within Africa, Middle East, Former Soviet Union, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Throughout each trip, Basim ministers in churches, to pastors, to political leaders, and businessmen sharing the keys to walking in integrity according to the principles of the Word of God. His ministry is a testimony and encouragement to Muslims, Jews and the unsaved to believe in the mercy and goodness of God through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
FROM THE HEART
It is my earnest desire that people from all countries and of all ages experience the joy and hope
that comes from being in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To be in relationship with God
is to be in covenant with Him through the blood of Christ. This relationship is characterized by the
positive effect it has on the life of the believer, and including the propensity for a profound intimacy
with God and the church that is otherwise impossible.
The transformational power of the Word of God is something I learned about decades ago when I
accepted Christ even though I was born into a family of Islam. I found that being in blood covenant
with Him through Christ’s sacrifice meant I could understand God’s plan for my life. I receive
direction, focus and drive from my daily encounters with His Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
Every day in the Word brings a newness of thought and attitude. As I minister throughout the
nations, my one prayer is that people receive the same peace that God has given me.
